Yesterday MTV's Rock the Vote came to campus. It was pretty lame. I didn't get any photos of anything, but I did get my picture taken whilst carrying a sign that said "Voting: Good/Rocking:Good/Shameless exploitations of both to sell crap to our generation: Bad." Or something to that extent, anyway. But I haven't seen it anywhere.
But yeah, it was pretty lame. There were no decent bands, possibly because anyone remotely decent was playing in Austin this weekend, and it was heavy on the corporate promotions. Also, Lt. Gov. Win Rockefeller was the biggest speaker, and he openly endorsed Bush. At a nonpartisan event. What an ass, eh? And Marvin Parks (State Rep./shameless bigot-Greenbrier), who is running for Congress, got to hear a bit about what an ass he is from me. Nonproductive, yes, but damn it felt good.
I gotmy absentee Oklahoma ballots in the mail today, just as I was filling out my Arkansas voter registration form. Hmm... It's not voter fraud if they don't find out, right?
Probably a bad idea.
