So I mentioned in the previous post about the 80s mania. Well, even I was blown away last night at the sheer twenty-years-ago-ness of it all, when I went to see a band play at this indy place called CBGC (named after the rock club in NYC). The band called themselves Azafata, which means "stewardess" in Castellano, and they were PURE GLAM. Wow. We're talking skin-tight jeans/pants, BIG hair, shiney guitars and even the large glowing sign at front announcing the band's name. They even had the attitude right and were very serious about it being 1983 and all. It was quite impressive.
Oh, and they rocked hardcore, which was more impressive still. I'm definitely going to go see them again.
