So I went to my first fútbol game last night. I'm not huge on the sports but oh god it was fun. River Plate versus Bandfield*, with River Plate (my team- they are popular in the north of the city, where I live)(also the arch-rivals of Boca Juniors, the team for whom Maradona played, who are VERY popular in the southern parts of the city-when it was announce that Boca had their asses kicked last night the stadium went nuts) finally squeezing out a gol at the end of the game. I had such a blast, because it's just nuts how 20.000 people react the same way at the same time to an event.

*Almost all fútbol teams here were started by British people, so they have english names: River Plate, Newell's, Boca Juniors, etc. Wierd eh?

that's awesome Nate...wish i could be there with you...funny, i almost bought you a River Plate jersey, but i couldn't find one on ebay for less than $60(u.s)...the pictures are beautiful...i'm so jealous
